Jeff Curran unveiled his new 24,000 square foot MMA facility in a 4 hour long celebration. The festivities included a barbecue, raffle, dunk tank, and various other activities. Before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Curran made several important announcements. Jeff revealed that he plans to drop down to the 135 pound weight division in his quest to wear the WEC Championship belt. He also announced that protege Bart Palaszewski has signed with the WEC and will be in action soon.
After the crowd was allowed in to tour the new facility, Curran put on a grappling demonstration with UFC fighter Nate Mohr and The Ultimate Fighter Season 7 Champion Amir Sadollah. Other demonstrations included functional training exercises from the Davis Speed Center coaches, and staff members from the Overtime School of Wrestling were on hand to answer questions about their new second training site located within Curran's facility.
